2005 Event Rules & Guidelines

Glass Bottles - No glass bottles.

Fires - Fires are allowed only in designated areas.

Parking and Site Transportation - Private vehicles are allowed only in designated parking area. You will not be able to bring your vehicle to the event/bivouac site. Period transportation will transport your and your equipment to the event/bivouac site.

Utilities - Water is available, bring your period containers. Electricity will not be available at the event/bivouac site, plan accordingly. Several field toilets (just like in WWII) will be available, designated locations must be used. Trash collection will be located with the Gulaschkanone.

Shopping and Other Amenities - Grocery, Drug, Liquor and Hardware Stores, Restaurants, ATMs, Gas Stations are all located approximately 1 mile further west on Hwy 2, before the turn to the Buckley Homestead. Please remember the exit and entry to the site will be very limited after 1900 CST on Friday evening.

Authenticity - For the enjoyment of all participants, the Authenticity and Safety Inspection will occur in the designated parking area prior to entering the event/bivouac site. Non-period items will not be allowed in the event/bivouac site.

Safety - For the enjoyment of all participants, the Authenticity and Safety Inspection will occur in the designated parking area prior to entering the event/bivouac site. No live ammunition is permitted on the event/bivouac site. All pyrotechnics will be inspected by the safety officer before allowed to enter the event/bivouac site.

Age - All participants must be 18 years old or older.

Clean-Up - Each unit will be responsible for returning their designated event/bivouac area prior to being released from the event.

Medical Emergencies - There will be a medic on site, other medical facilities are available in Lowell, IN, approximately 2 miles away. If you have an existing medical condition, for example, diabetes, extreme reaction to bee stings, etc., please contact the medic on arrival.
