The event is structured with 'squad and platoon-level' activities based around your existing unit; all activities are by squad/platoon. Consequently, the event staff will rely heavily on the each participating unit's chain of command. Because our event staff is small, we'll work directly with the Board of Commanders, platoon leaders and squad leaders to accomplish all the tasks at hand. For example, when we need help preparing things, staging things, or getting activities ready -- we'll assign it to the squad leaders and/or platoon leaders, and consider it taken care of. WEDNESDAY, January 23rd, 2008 Travel and Vendors' Market Day 0800 to 1700 - Arrival / FJ-LK and FIG Check-In 1800 to 1900 - Abendessen (Evening Meal) Assigned Gruppe reports at 1730 to Kasino to assist in meal preparation. 1900 to ???? - Kameradschaftabend in Kaserne and Kasino. After 2300 we ask that all Kameradschaft activities take place in Kasino in consideration of other FJ-LK participants in Kaserne. THURSDAY, January 24th, 2008 0700 to 0800 - Frühstück (Breakfast) Assigned Gruppe reports at 0630 to Kasino to assist in meal preparation. 0800 to 0900 - Pflichtstunde / Gruppe time to prepare kit, shine boots, clean uniform, clean weapons, usw. 0900 to 1030 - "How to Improve your German FJ Impression (Facilitator: Mike Schnieders). Secial emphasis on correct "German" way to wear your uniform & kit, infusion of German Language with impression, German military protocol, usw. 1030 to 1200 - Vendors' Market Time 1200 to 1230 - Mittagessen (Lunch) 1300 - Event Officially Begins! All participants should be in uniform and have their gear stowed, ready for the event. IMPORTANT: Any participant who cannot arrive by 1300 on Thursday must contact the event organizers in advance to make arrival arrangements. There will be no exceptions to this policy, due to the nature of the event. 1330 to 1400 - German Drill & Ceremony Practice 1400 to 1700 - Gruppe and Zug Tactical Training 1800 to 1900 - Abendessen (Evening Meal) Assigned Gruppe reports at 1730 to Kasino to assist in meal preparation. 1900 to ???? - Kameradschaftabend in Kaserne and Kasino. After 2300 we ask that all Kameradschaft activities take place in Kasino in consideration of other FJ-LK participants in Kaserne.
