Fallschirmjäger-Lehrkompanie
There is no way you can be a true Fallschirmjäger reenactor without knowing a few Fallschirmjägerlieder (FJ-Songs). The truth is German soldiers sang, sang, sang, and sang often. In fact, how well a German unit sang was widely considered an indication of the soldierly bearing and morale of the unit. Musicians were common throughout units, and not just in musical groups. Standard allotments of harmonicas, accordians and guitars were issued as unit equipment, and we'll have Musikante (Musician) and fellow reenactor Tim Tabor and his accordion. Obviously, the Fallschirmjäger-Lehrkompanie should be no different. Every participating Fallschirmjäger will receive a Liederbuch der FJ-Lehrkompanie (Song Book), and be expected to know at least a few Lieder. While it's difficult to know all of the common Lieder, it is possible to know 2 or 3. Do come prepared to sing Rot scheint die Sonne, 'The Sun Shines Red', the official song of the deutsche Fallschirmjäger. Also come prepared to sing Ein Heller und ein Batzen, 'A Nickle And A Dime'.
